New Jersey Turnpike

Taken from the 1976 SRT album "Turn the Page" (SRTM/CUS041). Lead by keyboard player Ivor Drawmer and featuring Ross Grant, Bobby Campbell and Roger Harrison, this haggard and beardy four piece recorded their album with Keith Herd at Fairview, but omitted to give us any other clues to work with. Besides this excellent take on the Doobie Brothers hit, these chaps clearly fancied themselves big style when it came to grappling with the trickier MOR covers on offer at the time. Undaunted and ill-advised they flog their way through not only John Miles' Music, but also present for your delight a righteous butchering of Bohemian Rhapsody. Mercy!
